This course is for you, if ...

  • You love taking pictures and want to get better at it
  • You sometimes find your camera has too many buttons
  • You know your camera can do more
  • You have an eye for photography but often can't get your camera to do what you want it to
  • You just got a new digital camera and all the buttons and menus are driving you nuts
  • You have been photographing for a long time and now you want to get more surefooted with digital cameras
  • You always wanted to learn more about digital photography

What camera do you need ...

This course will help you figure out your camera, no matter what camera you have. While you will get the most out of this course if your camera supports manual exposure mode, aperture priority, and shutter priority (it would say M,A,S,P or  M,Av,Tv,P on the dial), all cameras share the same core functionality. So, even if your camera isn't the most fancy one, it will have a shutter, an aperture, and an ISO setting, all of which you will be learning about in this course.

What else do you need ...

A lens that fits your camera (any lens will do).
A charged battery for your camera.
The SD card or a similar device too record your digital photos.
The book that came with your camera.
Having access to a tripod will be helpful for some of the practice sessions.

What if you get stuck ...

You use the texting bubble in the lower right corner of the scree and reach out to us. Most questions we'll answer right there. If need be we'll invite you to a zoom video meeting so you can show us what's happening. Or what isn't happening, whatever the case may be.
I love helping people!
Walter
