I started C1M Photography's Academy in 2007, because as I got into fashion and commercial photography, I found more and more people asking me for the tips and tricks I used to capture stunning images. I quickly realized that to really help people succeed, offering shortcuts just didn't cut it. For me, the keys to taking photos were understanding what my camera was doing and why, working with composition to maximize the impact of my photos, and targeted editing that kicked up images from good to great. 

And, while it's not as easy as learning a list of tips and tricks, I truly believe anyone can improve their photography by working through those three steps in a systematic way. That's what I aim to do with C1M Photography Academy: provide gentle guidance and a road map to photography success that will get you where you want to go without being overwhelming.

As it turns out, there are 3 areas in photography that I was going back to again and again. I ended up naming the concept the Beauty Triangle, because you do need all 3 to make truly beautiful photography come to life. And because I've been teaching and helping people with their photography for a while, I sat down and created courses that directly correspond to each of the sections in the beauty triangle. Each will explain the different features that are important and then, with clear information and beautiful images, guide you through practice sessions that directly relate to what you just learned. That way, you've read about it, seen it, and done it. All so that you can retain what you've learned better until you need it.
