Our weekend intensive course prepares you for a final test, eliminating any surprises. We take you through all the materials that might show up on the test, step by step, sharing and explaining all the correct answers. Each class consists of hands-on overview and refreshers for different topics, followed by questions that may show up in the test. We'll guide you right through the topics, tell you all the correct answers and administer the test on the second day of the course. We will be able to tell you if you passed right after taking the test.

Spontaneous celebrations right after passing the test, uncontrolled dancing and any exuberant behavior is totally optional.

In order to become certified as a professional photographer, students must pass the certification test with at least 70% correct answers and submit a portfolio with 5 samples of paid work, accompanied by an affidavit stating that said work has been done for monetary compensation. Once you passed the test and submitted your portfolio along with your affidavit we will issue your certificate as Certified Professional Photographer. You will then be able to add the letters CPP to your name.

If you are traveling from out of town, we work with a local Clarion and can get you a group rate.

Certification Test

The Certification Test will consist of 50 questions, drawn from the topics covered in the weekly sessions. You must score 70% or better on the test in order to pass. A passing score is required for certification.

Portfolio Submission

You must submit samples of your work.

Requirements: Submit paid work in the form of 5 images that were done for 5 different clients. You will be asked to include a signed affidavit confirming that the images you submit are your original work and that, additionally, they were taken for 5 different clients and that you were monetarily compensated for your work. The images and the affidavit are required to receive your certification.

Personal Success Plan Coaching

Our support doesn't end just because you have your Certified Professional Photographer credentials in hand. Because we are committed to your success, we don't stop there. Our Certified Professional Photographer Course includes one month of our Personal Success Plan professional coaching sessions, to help you along.

Our purpose is to help you pinpoint your strengths and then figure out how to capitalize on them. All the technical skill in the world will not help you if you cannot manage your mental processes and stay on the course you’ve plotted. We help you to find your path and then, as the Personal Success Plan progresses, gently guide you so that you stay focused on that path, tuning out distractions and hewing your own way.

We’ll work together to craft an individually tailored curriculum. The material we cover will depend on you: your needs, your chosen path, and the areas where you feel you need guidance. Sessions are 30 minutes long and scheduled once per week. These sessions can be conducted in person or, if it's more convenient for you, via phone or Skype.
