Portrait Photography: Next classroom session begins on June 24th, 6PM
All-Day Mega Shoot: Saturday, August 29th, beginning at 9AM
Portraits are personal. You're not photographing a mountain or a sunset. You're photographing a person who's watching you back, waiting for direction, trusting you to make them look good. That changes everything.
This course gives you the skills and the confidence to deliver on that trust. Over eight weeks, you'll learn how to see light, shape it, and use it to tell a story. You'll learn posing that looks natural instead of stiff. You'll practice directing a session so your subject feels comfortable and your images reflect who they actually are.
We start with a camera refresher so the technical side doesn't trip you up. Then we move into the real work: posing, lighting, in-studio shooting with a live model, portrait editing, finding your style, and how to price and package your work if you want to take it professional.
Then comes the All Day Megashoot.
A full day of shooting with a professional model. Studio lighting setups in the morning. Outdoor natural light in the afternoon. Coaching at your shoulder the whole time. This is where classroom knowledge becomes muscle memory. You'll walk out with a portfolio of images and the confidence that you can do this on your own.
Course notes and classbook included. Certificate of completion in Portrait Photography awarded at graduation.
We only run this course when we have enough interest to fill a class. The last one was years ago.
If it's on the schedule, don't wait.
